
Michael J. Bradley, D.O.
He grew up in Larchmont NY, just outside New York City, and graduated from Kenyon College. Prior to medical school, he resided with family near Taylor's Bridge Delaware, while working at the Wilmington Hospital ER. He is a 1978 graduate of Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served in the US Army Medical Corps completing his residency in Family Practice at Fort Belvoir Virginia in 1981, and then as a Flight Surgeon at Fort Benning, Georgia, prior to setting up practice in Dover. He had many hours of helicopter flight time as a military Flight Surgeon. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Major.
He was certified by the American Board of Family Practice in 1981 and has re-certified every six years. He is a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration. He served as President of the Medical Society of Delaware in 1995, and continues to be active in the Society as a Delegate to the AMA and Chairman of Med-Net. He is Past President of the Delmarva Paint Horse Club.
His Wife, Elaine, is an LPN, and a former Army Nurse. In addition to her many duties as homemaker, she is involved with the State and Kent County Medical Society Alliance, the Delmarva Junior Paint Horse Club, and dancing. The family enjoys many outdoor activities, including sports, dancing and horse activities, and continues to enjoy restoring their historic 280 year old home, the Governor Truitt House. Erin Elizabeth is a first year Vet Med student at Oklahoma State University. Sean is an aspiring actor, singer and dancer. He attends The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, leading to a BFA degree in Acting.
